Our founder, Steve Nickolas, has spent more than 40 years working with water. After a car accident in 1978 changed his path, he moved to Maui to reset. There he found a lifelong passion for pure water and what it means for our health. He went on to help start Hawaii's first island-wide bottled water service. Then he spent years building water companies around the world, from the Philippines and Indonesia to Kenya, Israel and Jordan. Later, he took Alkaline88 nationwide.

Along the way, Steve became an expert in water science and electrolysis. In the early 2000s he began working with hypochlorous acid (HOCl), the same molecule your body makes to fight infection. Back then it wasn't stable enough for everyday products. When new methods made a two-year shelf life possible, he saw a way to replace the harsh chemicals in our homes.

In 2020, Steve and co-founder Alexander Meluskey launched Think Smarter Products. They built their own FDA-registered facility and lab in Louisville, Kentucky. It's the only HOCl brand that adds Himalayan minerals to the process. Today we're headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, and getting ready to bring manufacturing here too. Every product is made in America, with nothing you don't need.
